Location
The SLCO presents most of its workshops at its learning centre in a quiet area of Ottawa at the south end of Barrhaven overlooking the Jock River.

Arriving by Car
Once you're really close to the centre, here are some directions for that last kilometre or so.
When you're on Greenbank Road driving south, look for the Canadian Tire store on your left, then Strandherd Road, and then Loblaws on your left. After a traffic light at Jockvale Road (a diagonal intersection), you’ll pass the Roman Catholic High School on your left and then a flashing yellow light. The Centre is on the left just where the road turns sharply to the right to go over the Jock River. (If you go over the river, you've gone just a little too far!)
Driving north from on Highway 16, turn left onto Greenbank Road. Greenbank eventually makes a sharp right to go over the Jock River. After crossing the river, the Centre is on the right side of the road just before the next sharp turn of Greenbank to the left.
Arriving by City Bus—OC Transpo
OC Transpo, Ottawa's transit system, has buses that run close to the centre. You'll have to walk the last little bit.
You can use Google Maps to determine your start-to-finish bus route, since it links in to OC Transpo's scheduling system. Once you're at Google Maps,
- click on the Get Directions link
- enter your starting point and your destination
- select "By public transit" instead of "By car" (next to the "Get Directions" button)
- if you want to leave at a time other than the next three departure times, click on the "Show options" link just below the starting point and destination. Select your desired departure or arrival time
- click on the "Get Directions" button
It will display the routes for the next three times. These routes include the walking instructions.
